From Copper Kings to an Art Imperium

The Guggenheim Story

Not Peggy, but Solomon R. Guggenheim established the world famous museum - advised by the German painter Hilla Rebay. With his niece Peggy Solomon had a family intern competition about the most beautiful collection of modern art. Only after the death of the protagonists Peggy's collection in Venice was included into Solomon's museum in New York. It was the beginning of an art imperium throughout the world with more Guggenheim museums in Bilbao and Berlin. A film on the history of one of the most famous museums in the world.
